The ADRC has an online directory that provides individuals, family members or caregivers an easier way to access up-to-date, comprehensive services offered by national, state, and local social service providers.  This directory currently contains data resources managed by the New Mexico Department of Health and by the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department.

If you provide services to seniors, people with disabilities or their families, the ADRC wants to include your organization in our database, please click on the following link www.nmresourcedirectory.org and register your organization.

Inclusion and Exclusion Policy for NM Aging and Long Term Services Department’s Resource Center

The resource center strives to be a single source of information on resources and support services for seniors, people with disabilities and their families. To that end, we will include information in our database on organizations, programs, businesses or other entities if they:

  • Provide services to the community in at least one of the categories defined by the resource center’s taxonomy;
  • Are certified or licensed by the appropriate levels of government when required;
  • Are in compliance with any established, applicable local, state or federal laws and regulations;
  • Are established in their communities, to be demonstrated by providing service for at least three months, showing evidence of an established and approved service site, and showing evidence of community involvement in or oversight of the service (i.e. a board of directors or letters of reference) when no licensing certification or regulations exist;
  • Supply requested information and other updates for the database in an accurate and timely manner; and
  • Provide services without regard to race, color, religion, sexual preference or national origin.

In the case of for-profit businesses, they will be listed if they provide a unique service that helps seniors and people with disabilities maintain their independence. For example, all grocery stores in a community will not be listed, but all grocery stores that deliver groceries to homes will be listed.

Providers will be excluded from the resource center database if they:

  • Have their certification or license revoked by any level of government;
  • Have their certification and/or organizational membership revoked by a recognized group of peers which sets professional standards;
  • Exhibit a pattern of failing to respond in a timely and satisfactory manner to client complaints reported to and identified by resource center staff; or
  • Neglect to supply information and other updates in an accurate and/or timely manner.

Every effort will be made to include all programs, offices or businesses that provide services listed in the taxonomy. Failure to list a service does not necessarily reflect its standing in the community, and we will consider submissions of providers who are not listed.

The Aging and Long-Term Service Department does not license service providers nor guarantee the quality of service they will provide. Our role is to assist the client/caller in making an informed choice. The decision to use any service provider must be made by the client and/or the family.

The Aging and Long-Term Service Department has made every effort to list only reputable, responsible programs and businesses and is interested in resolving complaints about the quality of care or services they provide. The department is not, however, liable for the quality of care or services provided by these entities.
