Secretary Michael Spanier |

Michael Spanier was appointed Secretary of the
Aging and Long-Term Services Department by Governor Bill Richardson in
December 2009.
Michael came to the Department five years ago and initially served as
Director of Adult Protective Services prior to being appointed Deputy
Secretary. Michael has served the people of New Mexico for 20 years.
Prior to his arrival at ALTSD he worked for the Legislative Finance
Committee and the State Budget Division of the Department of Finance and
Administration. In 1989 he moved to New Mexico from Oakland, California
with his bride Christina and son Shannon. He earned a gold medal in Frisbee during the 2008 New Mexico Senior Olympics. |
