The HIV/AIDS Advocacy Network (HAAN) advocates for and empowers people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, increases community awareness and understanding of HIV transmission and prevention while reducing the fear and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.

HAAN provides guidance and assistance with:
• Peer Support
• Speakers Bureau
• Resource Identification and Referral
• Social Security, Public Benefits, and Housing

Beginning in August 2010, there will be a monthly Community Educational Forum, an educational support series of programs about HIV and HIV-related topics. The forums will also provide an opportunity for those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS to get together, network and socialize. The forums will be held in Albuquerque on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
