The Lawyer Referral for the Elderly Program
of the New Mexico State Bar Association provides negotiated-fee or free legal assistance to New Mexicans ages 55 and
older. (Services are not available for criminal defense.)

These same services are provided by the Senior Citizens' Law Office to Bernalillo County residents who are 60 years of age and older. And, Law Access New Mexico may be able to provide some legal services. (This is an Adobe Acrobat pdf file. If necessary, click here to download Adobe Acrobat Reader at no cost.) Legal services are available even if you are homebound or in the hospital. Whenever possible, they will be provided in language you will understand and, most importantly, they will represent your interests. For legal cases that fall within the following priority areas, and depending on the circumstances, there may be no charge for services:
